Camp Viola provides camps for youth throughout the summer months for the purpose of giving them the opportunity to experience various outdoor activities as well as Spiritual enrichment. Camp Viola is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

How a Parent Registers a Child for Camp:

The summer camps are sponsored by numerous local Churches of varying denominations and are facilitated by both Camp Viola staff and Church volunteers. Parents may chose to contact a local Church themselves to inquire if that Church is sponsoring a week of camp during the upcoming summer camp season at Camp Viola. In addition, many of the Churches partner with local elementary schools to assist in identifying children that would be eligible to participate in a summer camp as defined by the Camp Viola Mission Statement.  With the assistance of the local elementary school Guidance Counselors, who may the child with an application for camp to be completed by the child’s parent(s) and returned to the Counselor, the applications are forwarded to the partnering Churches or to the Camp Viola Director’s office for the purpose of review and registering the child for one of the available camping sessions at Camp Viola. The parent can also visit the Camp Viola website (www.campviola.com) to download a camper application, complete the application, and then forward to the Director of Camp Viola or send with their child to his/her elementary school and be given to the schools Counselor to be forwarded to the identified partnering Church. Every year the available slots for camp fill up very quickly. As that occurs the Camp Viola Director initiates a “waiting list” where children’s names eligible for a week at camp are placed and selected for a week at camp as “slots” become available. In most cases we are able to match a child with an opening at one of the camps if we have been made aware of the child’s desire to go to camp.

Camper Forms:

Both the summer schedule and the sponsoring Church for a week of camp may vary. The camp’s schedule will be revised as needed with any changes being posted to the Camp Viola web page.  A specific Churches Camp Director may change from year to year. Camp Viola will post any changes related to a Churches Camp Director or contact information as we are made aware of those changes. You may contact Camp Viola at any time with your questions by calling (706) 594-2292. We are happy to assist you with your camp related questions or needs.
